Text Effect 2
This next effect will teach you how to warp your text, giving it the illusion of "popping out at you." It's a cool technique that works for every style from retro to bold. First you'll have to write something with your text tool:

With your text highlighted, go to your top menu bar and find this tool. It's your "warp" tool:

This will open up a window with tons of different ways to warp your text. I could show you every single one, but where's the surprise in that? We're gonna use the "Bulge" effect for this specific tutorial. (Later, feel free to experiment wiith other "text warps" on your own.)

The settings for warp are usually set to: "Bend: +50." That's all well and good, but sometimes that's way too drastic for my taste. I lowered that slider down to "+30," making the bulge a little less...HUGE. After you're done playing with the options there, your text should look something like this:

Done! I think it's safe to say warped text is much more fun than normal text.
