Rounding Edges
First off, open up Photoshop and make a blank new file. A white background will work best. Once you've done that,
you're going to select the "rounded rectangle" tool. It's located right where the rectangle tool is, but if you
don't see it, just right-click the tool and you should see the rounded rectangle pop up.

Once you've selected the rounded rectangle tool, just draw a decent sized rectangle that's slightly smaller than your
image. Make sure you've selected black as your color!

After you've drawn your rectangle, just copy and paste the image you want into this Photoshop document. It'll paste
itself into your program as a new layer. It'll most likely call itself "layer 1." If you want to position the image a little
more carefully, just right click the image and select "free transform." You can then drag and drop the image where you
want it.

Once you've got the image lined up with your rectangle underneath it, you can proceed to make your rounded image! Just
right click "layer 1" (your image) and select "blending options." This will help us in making it blend with your rounded
rectangle image.

A window should pop up with a whole bunch of options. Just look towards the top of this window until you see "Blend Mode."
It should have a dropdown list full of interesting ways to blend your image. To get it to blend correctly though, look through
this dropdown list until you see "lighten." Select that.

Great! Your image has now merged with the black rounded rectangle underneath to give it the look of rounded
edges.

Don't be afraid to get creative! This technique can be used tons of different ways. Here's a few other shapes you could do:
