Nissan Live Sets March 2007

By:
Alexis
Artist: Maroon 5
Concert Name/Year: Nissan Live Sets March 2007
Pros: Maroon 5’s fan club, Strength In Numbers, held a contest. 100
lucky
fan club members, along with one guest, were going to receive a chance
to
see the band perform songs off their brand new album “It Wont Be Soon
Before Long” months before the actual album dropped in stores. I was
one
of the lucky SIN CLUB fan members.
On March 27, 2007 a friend and I drove to Burbank Ca, to watch Maroon 5
perform songs off their new album at the 20th Century Fox Studios. We
arrived at the studios and were escorted to a shuttle station. I
realized
that my friend and I were among the first people there. The shuttle
took
us to Stage 17 and my friend and I were checked in by security. From
there, we escorted to a place on the Lot where we would stand in Line
for
more than 2 hours.
Finally time came to go to the Stage and as soon as we walked in we ran
straight up to the front. I was so excited because I would be less than
10
feet away from my favorite performer, Adam Levine. The band came out
and
got the crowd started with their new song “Makes Me Wonder.” At
first, the
crowd was pretty silent, trying to catch onto the lyrics. But it
wasn’t
long until everyone was screaming and yelling, singing along to the
lyrics
and dancing to the beat. Right after “Makes Me Wonder” they played
2 more
songs from their old album “Harder To Breathe” and “Sunday
Morning.”
They held a Q&A session and then after that they played 2 NEW songs
“Wake
Up Call” and “Wont Go Home Without You” (Adam’s favorite song
to
perform.) They held another Q&A session and then finished their
performance with “Shiver” “She Will Be Loved” and “This
Love.”
You could tell that the band was satisfied with their performance and
couldn’t wait till the release of the album on May 22nd 2007.

Cons:
Since, the album hadn’t been released yet, no one in the
audience
knew the lyrics to their songs. It was the first time anyone had heard
their new songs. Also, this performance was being tapped for the Yahoo
Music Website so the band was stopped mid song most times and were
asked
to do it again.
Experiences:
A woman that worked for Yahoo Music came up to my friend,
handed her a digital camera and asked her to take pictures of the show.
The pictures were going to be posted on Yahoo Music! under Fan
Experiences. Also, my friend and I scored some guitar picks from
guitarist
Adam Levine.
Rating:
This was my First Maroon 5 show and I don’t think any other
show
could have beaten it!! I give it a 10
Final Thoughts: Maroon 5 is definitely worth seeing Live. Go to
