Originally from Fagersta, Sweden, this upbeat punk rock band has 4 albums and another upcoming release in November 2007. The band consists of 5 guys including brothers Pelle (vocals) and Nicholaus Almqvist (guitar). The Hives are featured in the Timbaland song "Throw it On Me." They recorded with Pharrell Williams as their producer on the new album entitled "The Black & White Album." Other albums include "Barely Legal," from 1997 with tracks like "Main Offender." Their second album released in 2000, "Veni Vidi Vicious," features hits like "Hate To Say I Told You So." Their third album "Your New Favourite Band" from 2002 was their first U.S. release. It gathers tracks from their first two full-lengths as well as some of their EP tracks. Finally their most recent album, from 2004, "Tyrannosaurus Hives." During fall 2007, they opened up for bands like Maroon 5 as well as playing their own shows. The Hives were also the first Swedish band to play at Madison Square Garden in NYC.

Recommendations:
Hate To Say I Told You So - This is one of those songs you've probably heard but didn't know who it was. It is from the album "Veni Vidi Vicious." Personally, this is my favorite song. It's high-energy and fun to listen to.

Two-Timing Touch And Broken Bones - I always have this song stuck in my head. It's not very long but theirs a whole lot of music packed into those 2 minutes.

Tick Tick Boom - This is one of my favorite songs to date. I heard it for the first time when I saw them in concert. The video is played on FUSE, so you may have heard it. It will be on their new album "The Black & White Album," but along with 4 others, it has been released as a single.
