Gorillaz

How many animated bands do you know of that have reached the success of the Gorillaz? The band first got its stars
in 2000 with their "Tomorrow Comes Today" EP, and have since become known as the "virtual hip-hop/rock group." With
such anthems as "Feel Good Inc." and "Clint Eastwood," it's hard not to know who this band is. They're made up of the chill
singer, 2-D, the (almost?) antichrist keyboardist, Murdoc, the funky drummer, Russel, and the quirky guitarist, Noodle.
With names and styles like that, it's almost impossible not to like this one-of-a-kind band with a knack for making
unforgettable music.
Recommendations:
"Clint Eastwood" - I could sing this song without missing a lyric. That's how often I've listened to it. The
rythym is pretty easy going and the chorus is almost a droll. It works somehow. Don't me ask me how.
"White Light" - This song is pretty minimal to be honest. There's very few lyrics, the beat is simple, and
the message is unclear. Yet......it's completely addictive. It's just one of those songs that's
fun to listen to.
"19-2000" - Talk about a catchy song. It's both fun and funky and overall catchy.
"DARE" - Another one of my favorites by the band. Like most of their material, it's got a funky techno vibe
that's too good to resist. Definitely one you should check out.
