Eisley

[official website] - [official myspace]

By: Stacey

Sometimes, band members will have trouble getting along. Is it even worse when they're closely related?! I think not. Eisley is comprised of four siblings (Chauntelle, Sherri, Stacey and Weston DuPree) and their cousin (Garron DuPree). The band members have been playing music for quite a while. The youngest, Stacy, has been in it since she was 8 years old. They have toured with many pretty-well-known bands, such as Brand New, Snow Patrol, Hot Hot Heat, Switchfoot and a handful of others. Eisley's first full-length album was Room Noises. In 2005, Room Noises was placed at #9 on Magazine's top albums. Eisley also has another full-length album coming very, very soon. It's set release date is August 14, 2007. So it isn't that far away! Titled Combinations, the CD will have 10 tracks and 2 additional tracks will be selected for the UK release. The first single from Combinations will be "Invasion." Get ready for more Eisley soon!

Recommendations:
"Telescope Eyes" – This is one of the songs that you'll absolutely love and get stuck in your head all day. The melodies and harmonies will leave you calm relaxed. I would honestly recommend this as one of the best songs with the true essence of Eisley and their sound.

"Brightly Wound" – The sweetness of Sherri's and Stacy's vocals in this song will just melt your heart. The harmonies and blending are amazing and perfect. The song is about never growing up, pure love, and staying young at heart. If you love being a kid, this is a great song that you'll definitely be able to relate to.

"Golly Sandra" – I'm not quite sure what this song is about. It reminds me of a little girl that constantly is getting into scrapes but leaps back and continues to have fun anyway. This song is super fun to sing along to (although you probably don't want to hear me singing). It's amazing and is definitely worth a listening to… and possible memorizing the lyrics and signing to it? [;
