Carrie Underwood got her start the way any kid from a small town does. She sang with her church at three years old, and performed at local events and through the years worked on her singing talent. She originally planned on going in the broadcast journalism career. Enter: American Idol. Underwood tried out for American Idol in 2005 with high hopes. As it would turn out, Underwood won the American Idol title and soon released her debut cd, "Some Hearts." She was the first country artist to come from "Idol," and people welcomed her with open arms. He debut cd went on to go triple platinum and has recently won three Grammy Awards for it. She's definitely on her way to becoming a huge country superstar.
