Anberlin
By: Nadia Not a band you hear about very often. They are just a regular ordinary alternative rock band or a Christian band as many people think. No. Anberlin is not like most other bands. They formed in 2002 and are from Orlando, Florida. They are not really a new band since their fist album in 2003. Recently they released their new album Citiesin February 2007. The lead singer (Stephen Christian) has a unique voice. They also do not write about the things that most bands do. The lyrics are very different. Not to mention that they are funny but they really deserve a lot more credit. So give them a chance. Recommendations:
"Godspeed" - Most definitely one of the best songs on their new album Cities, I think. The lyrics are different. All I can say is its fast, catchy and addicting. You will love this song in no time. "Paperthin Hymn" - Probably most well known Anberlin song. It is about a person being dumped and relating to the situation. "Ready Fuels" - By far my favorite Anberlin song ever. It is from their first album. This song gave the band their big start. Although the video is not amazing but the guitar in this song is. Seriously go download now :)
