Paramore - All We Know is Falling

By: S6 Staff - Tom
All We Know is Falling may sound like the 11th album from a generic emo band, but it's actually pop-punk band Paramore's debut album from way back in 2005. Paramore, a Fueled By Ramen label band, is sometimes just thrown to the side as another Fall Out Boy clone, but they're really not. Paramore are four dedicated musicians with a great sound and message. All We Know is Falling is, in my opinion, their best work among their 2 full-length albums and their one EP.
When I first bought All We Know is Falling, my first impression wasn't too great. I'm not very fond of the first track, "All We Know." It's just not the sound that Paramore does best. The rest of the tracks, however, are genius. Some songs are fast and upbeat, some are moderately slow with heavy guitar riffs, and there is even a slow, mellow song included on the great album.
All in all, Paramore's debut album is a masterpiece that everyone should hear at least once. Their catchy, pop-punk tunes will get stuck in your head all day, and you'll love them a whole lot.
Recommendations:
My Heart - The slowest song on the album, with a great bass line and some moving vocals. Hayley and the band do a great job describing a love story in this song.
Whoa - A VERY catchy drum beat keeps this song interesting and fun to listen to. The chorus is also absolutely GENIUS! A must-listen!
Franklin - A moderate beat song with a powerful message about how it's difficult to go back to the band's hometown, Franklin, Tennessee. Unexpected male vocals and some awesome guitar make this song an instant classic for pop-punk fans around the world.
