Chiodos - All's Well That Ends Well

By: Taylor

"Sometimes driving directions look overwhelming, and then you get in your car to use them, and the drive is smooth through until the end. Just as a song by Chiodos takes you in many directions, but when it's done you never question how you got there" [from Chiodos.net]

First called the Chiodos Bros, they formed in high school outside of Flint, MI. Like every other band, they started their career playing local gigs and had a very distinct sense of originality. Their first demo, "The Best Way to Ruin Your Life", was cut in June 2002. Joining Equal Vision Records, they released their premiere album, "All's Well That Ends Well". Their real kick-off album is a very interesting yet original album. The lyrics are so catchy and the music is just phenomonal. My favorite song on the album is "The Words 'Best Friends' Become Redefined." It's like a song with a low point, a climax and a plot line, you just really have to think. Some of the most inspiring lyrics in the album are in this song.

Recommendations:
"All Nereids Beware" - Honestly, you'll listen to this song a million times. I do.

"We're Gonna Have Us a Champagne Jam" - SO catchy. Worth $0.99 on iTunes. :D

"The Words 'Best Friends' Become Redefined" - iPod worthy. Great lyrics and very catchy music.
