Boys Like Girls - Boys Like Girls

Boys Like Girls is a band from Boston that includes Martin Johnson, who does vocals and guitar, bassist Bryan Donahue, John Keefe on drums, and lead guitarist Paul DiGiovanni. Their debut album, the self-titled "Boys Like Girls", came out in August of 2006. Since then, they have topped the Top Unsigned Artists chart on "PureVolume." I personally like them because their lyrics are amazing and Martin Johnson has an amazing voice.

I think this album was awesome because they songs are so poetic. Well, of course, a lot of bands are poetic. But Boys Like Girl's song lyrics are different from anything i've ever heard. A lot of the songs on the cd sound different from each other so its a good change of pace when you're listening to it.

Recommendations:
"Hero/Heroine" - The lyrics in this song are just so great and its definitely not like any other song. Also, you can really hear how well Martin sings.

"Dance Hall Drug" - Its personally one of my favorite songs out of all of them. It's faster and heavier than "Hero/Heroine" and it's got a good tune to it.

"Broken Man" - This is an amazing song about how he's always going to feel ashamed of himself for things hes done in the past.
